Depreciation, fuel, insurance, vehicle tax, servicing, tyres and interest on the car loan, added up for the whole time you own it and per month.
Electric, petrol, diesel or plug-in hybrid
Pick the fuel, how long you’ll keep the car and how far you drive. Consumption and fuel price are pre-filled with estimates you can adjust.
Resale value, worked out
The resale value is estimated from the fuel type and ownership period, or you can enter your own.
Private or company car
For company cars it shows the employer’s net cost after VAT and deductions, and the employee’s tax on the benefit value.
Real road distance
Enter a start and a destination in Sweden or Europe, and Räknabilresa fetches the distance, the fuel cost and an estimated travel time.
Split the bill

What goes into the total cost?
Depreciation, fuel, insurance, vehicle tax, servicing and maintenance, tyres and accessories, and the interest if you have a car loan.
How is the resale value worked out?
Automatically from the fuel type and ownership period, but you can always enter your own value.
How do I work out a company car?
Choose Company. It then shows the employer’s net cost after VAT and deductions, and the employee’s tax based on the benefit value and marginal tax rate.
How accurate is the trip cost?
The distance is the real road distance, while travel time and consumption are estimates. Adjust the consumption if you know what your car uses.
Is an electric car cheaper to drive?
Usually, and often three to four times cheaper per kilometre than petrol. Try your own trip for an exact answer.
